Dave Pratt

The Morning Mayor has been waking up Arizona for 3 decades including 20 years on KUPD, creating The Big Red Radio. He later moved to KZON which quickly became the most listened to rock station in Arizona.

In 2003, Dave transitioned to country as the leader of KMLE for over 6 years, creating the “KMLE Nation”.

“Dave Pratt in the Morning” achieved #1 ratings and revenue in both the rock and country formats while helping to raise millions of dollars for Arizona charities including the Dave Pratt Dental Clinic which serves over 5000 underprivileged kids.

Dave Pratt, Behind the Mic, 30 Years in Radio was released in 2009 with the proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society.  His memoir recently won the prestigious Glyph Award from the Arizona Book Awards as “Autobiography/Biography of the Year.”   In addition, Dave has sold more albums than any local artist or band in the history of Arizona and has performed at sold out venues and stadiums throughout the state.

Dave Pratt was recently inducted into the Arizona Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He is currently a regular columnist for Arizona Highways and a daily humorist for Arizona’s largest news and entertainment site, www.azcentral.com

Most recently, Dave was invited by the State of Arizona and the Arizona Centennial Commission to personally endorse, voice and produce “The Arizona Centennial Minute”, consisting of nearly 300 segments that will be aired throughout Arizona to celebrate 100 years of statehood.

Dave is proud of his career, but he is most proud of being a husband, father and a friend. Dave and Paula have been married for 22 years and are blessed with 4 children – David Jr. 17, Kyle 15, Sammy 12, Madison 10……and their golden lab, Rio!
