Thank You!

The all new My103.9 is already celebrating 1 month.   Woo Hoo!!

Of course, My103.9 is all about stories, feeling good, great moments and remembering the best times of your life.   That is why we have the My103.9 Storyline.   Now you can share your stories with others.  Come on!   It’s just for fun, and you might hear yourself or your friends on the air.  Just call and leave your story on the My103.9 Storyline at 602.682.9222.

Hey look, we don’t even need your last name, unless you want to be famous!   Here a few stories that we have received to get your memories cranking:

“In about 1985 my older brother took me to one of my first concerts, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the ASU Activity Center.   At the end of “Rosalita”, Mighty Max Weinberg threw his drumsticks.   I caught one.  Well, I didn’t exactly catch it.  It hit me in the shoulder, and then I risked breaking my fingers by picking it up off the floor amid hundreds of feet.   A few decades later I was in the audience for Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Max was the drummer for the band.  I should have brought my stick to have him sign it.  Maybe next time.   Hi I’m Jimmy in Peoria and this is My103.9.”

“At Chaparral High School, one of the girls in our group had a 1977 Camaro with no air conditioning but a kick ass stereo.  We had to use a book of matches so the tape deck would play without wobbling.   We would cruise Central Avenue with the windows down playing Boston and Bon Jovi.   Hi this is Crystal from Scottsdale, and this is My103.9."

“In college at Santa Clara, my Greek Mythology professor was hot!   Every time I hear Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” I still think of her.   Wonder if she ever noticed me staring and drooling.  I’m Brett from Mesa and this is My103.9.”

“In 1993, I met my wife at a concert featuring the Gin Blossoms and the Tubes opening up for Dave Pratt’s band.   I contacted Dave ahead of time, and he let me propose on stage during his show.  An intimate proposal in front of 10,000 friends at Compton Terrace.   The Suns Gorilla carried me off stage.   Now, we are coming up on our 20 year anniversary.  I’m Toby from Fountain Hills and this is My103.9.”

Now it’s your turn.   And tell your friends to do the same!   Call the My103.9 Storyline at 602.682.9222.

If you don’t deserve it……………… WHO DOES?

~ Dave
